Brawldex is a free companion site for a live-streamed Pokémon battle game. This page explains exactly what the site stores, what leaves your browser, who else can see it, and how to switch the optional parts off. It covers brawldex.live only.

The short version

What we actually do

We keep the game profile you create so your Pokémon, brawl pass and rank survive a refresh. We measure traffic in aggregate so we know which parts of the site people use. If advertising is enabled on the site, Google and its partners may set cookies to choose which ads you see. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.

Brawldex is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created a profile here, email us and we will delete it.

Section 1

What we collect

Data you give us

Nothing is required to browse. Two optional actions create stored data:

Signing in with Google We receive your email address and display name from Google and store them, with a generated claim code, in our database (hosted by Supabase). We never receive or store your Google password.
Linking a stream account If you link a TikTok or Twitch account so your chat commands reach your profile, we store that public username and your in-game progress: Pokémon, wins and losses, coins, items, brawl-pass level and event standings.

Data your browser stores locally

The site writes small records to your browser's local storage — keys beginning bdx_ — holding a guest profile, which daily ball you have opened, event progress and brawl-pass claims. This never leaves your device and is cleared when you clear site data for brawldex.live.

Data collected automatically

Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard server logs: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referring page and user agent. If analytics or advertising is enabled, the vendors described below collect similar technical information through cookies and similar technologies.

Section 2

Cookies and analytics

A cookie is a small file a site or its partners store in your browser so you can be recognised on a later visit. Brawldex uses them in three ways:

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely, on every site, with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Section 3

Advertising

Brawldex is free to use and is funded by advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.

How to opt out of personalised ads

Any of these work, and none of them require an account with us:

Section 4

Who we share data with

We use a small number of processors, each for one job:

SupabaseStores profiles, Pokémon and brawl-pass progress, and handles Google sign-in.
VercelHosts and serves this website; keeps standard access logs.
Google (Analytics & AdSense)Traffic measurement and advertising, as described above.
TikTok / TwitchOnly public chat usernames, and only where you have chosen to link an account.

We do not sell personal information. We disclose data otherwise only where the law requires it, or to investigate abuse of the game.

Section 5

Your rights and choices

Data is kept for as long as your profile exists. Delete the profile and the game records go with it; server logs age out on our providers' own schedules.

Section 6

Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
